Parade

The Windsor Jaycees are proud to sponsor the 2012 Shad Derby Parade; we have been organizing the Parade since 1971. This event is the culmination of the Shad Derby Festival, which brings thousands of people to Windsor each year.

The 2012 Shad Derby Festival Green and Parade activities will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012. The Parade will leave Windsor High School at 12:30, march down Capen Street to Broad Street and be at the Town Green at 1:00 pm. This years Parade Co-Chairs are Patrick Battersby and Aaron Jubrey.

Last year we had over 40 groups marching in the parade, and we hope to have about that number again this year.

Agreement:
This form shall serve as a contract between the Windsor Jaycees, the Shad Derby Committee and the participant listed below to participate in the Windsor Shad Derby Parade to be held on May 19, 2012.

If a fee is necessary for your participation, please mark the desired amount in the space provided and we will review it and respond accordingly.

If payment is agreed upon, it will be made by check on the day of the parade or if requested, by mail after the parade date. In case of cancellation due to rain, every effort will be made to contact participants as soon as possible.

About You:
We look forward to your participation in the 2012 Shad Derby Parade on Saturday May 19, 2012. Please give us a short statement about your group (history, origin, etc?) so that we may read it to the spectators as your group passes the review stand. I will provide this information to the Parade announcer before the parade so that your group will properly be identified. Please send this back early, as I may not get to see the announcer if it gets too late.
